Supporting Recovery, Protection and Livelihoods of the Marginalized, Displaced
and Returnees in Communities of Benue State, Nigeria.
The project was a rapid response based on the impact of COVID-19 and Government lockdown measures to curtail the spread of the disease on the livelihood, food security and health of the very vulnerable rural dwellers in 9 communities of three local government areas in Benue State (Vandeikya, Okpokwu and Ogbadigbo). The project began with a baseline assessment (Needs Assessment) which was followed by a wealth ranking exercise activity.
The wealth ranking activity was conducted in three local government areas of the state in 9 communities. A 15 man Community Project Management Committee which included, traditional rulers, faith-base leaders, women groups, youths and traditional rulers were used in the wealth ranking exercise.

135 trained on COVID-19 guidelines & protocols (CPMC)
135 CPHMC trained on GBV
A total of 5611 persons reached through trainings, sensitizations on COVID, WASH and GBV.
